Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring documented med/tele experience and a Level 1 trauma center background.

Details

• 32-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit serving adult and older adult patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Cares for trauma patients receiving Heparin drips and other acute medications as ordered
• Uses specialty equipment including gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Uses Epic EMR
• No on-call requirements
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Documented Med/Surg Telemetry experience required along with a completed skills checklist
• Prior experience in a high-acuity, high-volume Level 1 trauma center required
• Experience managing critical, fast-paced trauma situations required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Skilled Nursing/Rehab experience and prior NICHE training are a plus

Additional Information

• Provides care to a high-acuity trauma population in an inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• No RTO permitted during the assignment
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
