Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care / Medical Surgical

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Acute Care Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position. This role involves working within a team to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting with telemetry.

Key Details

• Shift: Nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Floating: Not required
• Blocked Scheduling: Available

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Conducting nursing assessments and providing direct patient care
• Starting IVs and managing telemetry
• Administering medications and treatments as per protocol
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years in acute care or medical surgical nursing is preferred
• Skills: Proficiency in nursing assessment, IV starts, and telemetry monitoring; familiarity with ICU drips is a plus

Facility Information

• Location: Bluffton, IN
• Facility Size: 40 licensed beds, including 10 swing beds
• Unit Size: 20 beds with an average daily census of 10
• Patient Ratio: 1 to 6 for acute care and 1 to 10 for swing care
