Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 42-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit with a patient population including cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedics
• Maintain a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNAs, and unit secretaries
• Demonstrate proficiency with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips
• Float to units of like or lesser acuity as needed based on census
• May be assigned IMCU patients as needed based on census
• Adhere to all compliance requirements including timely documentation and reporting

Required Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license or compact license — must be in hand at time of submission
• No open or unresolved findings on license or background check
• Required certifications (must be active and in hand at time of submission): BLS, ACLS, CPI
• Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience
• A current Nursys report dated within the past 7 days must be included with submission
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic health records system
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Med-Surg or Telemetry setting
