Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience preferred
• Recent acute care experience
• Telemetry nursing experience
• Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio
• ACLS certification required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, positive attitude
• Ability to float to other units as needed, including IMC and the ED

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor telemetry patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including surgical, cardiac, and medical conditions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Document accurately in the electronic health record
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs in a fast-paced acute care nursing environment
• Float to other hospital units when needed, including IMC and the Emergency Department
• Maintain a professional, team-focused approach while delivering excellent patient care
