• Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed
• EMR: Meditech
• Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or a compact state license; no temporary licenses accepted
• NURSYS verification required
• Associate degree in Nursing required
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required
• ACLS preferred
• At least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty is required; 2 years of overall specialty experience preferred
• Must be comfortable working in a patient-facing clinical environment
• Ability to adapt to floating assignments and a changing acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients in an acute care environment
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and respond promptly to clinical needs
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support safe, effective patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and follow unit protocols and standards
• Support patient flow and unit operations while maintaining a professional, compassionate bedside approach
• Float to other units or hospitals when needed based on staffing and patient care demands
• Work scheduled weekends and holidays as required by the unit
