Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Med Surg / Progressive Care Registered Nurse for a high-acuity travel assignment. This role is ideal for an RN who excels in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process
  • Perform detailed patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments safely
  • Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge care
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
  • Support admissions, transfers, and discharge planning

Minimum Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted RN license
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) required
  • BLS Certification
  • Strong Med Surg and/or Progressive Care experience
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recent Med Surg and/or Progressive Care (PCU) experience
  • BSN preferred
  • Experience caring for high-acuity, medically complex patients
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced clinical environment
