Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide essential care in various telemetry units, including cardiac telemetry, med/surg telemetry, and surgical telemetry. The ideal candidate will assess, implement, and evaluate patient care as directed by the licensed physician and utilize nursing processes to customize care for individual patients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver basic nursing care and administer medications, including cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Nitro, and Cardizem.
- Collaborate with patients, their families, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Direct nursing support staff in adherence to standards of nursing practice.
- Participate in training or continuous education as required by specialty areas.
- Be prepared to float to other assigned units as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
- Active PA Registered Nurse License is required.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a telemetry or nursing specialty is preferred.
- Travel nursing experience is required.
