Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele or telemetry nursing experience
• Current permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certification required
• Willingness to obtain NIHSS prior to start
• Recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
• Must meet compliance requirements prior to start, including background review and fingerprinting timelines
• Experience providing safe, high-quality adult inpatient care in an acute care telemetry setting

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and identify changes in patient condition promptly
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and carry out physician-ordered care plans
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and communicate clearly throughout each shift
• Respond to evolving patient needs in a fast-paced inpatient hospital environment
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and continuity of care
• Maintain professional standards while adapting to unit workflow and clinical priorities
