Job Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Willingness to obtain NIHSS prior to start
• One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager (ANM), supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
• All required certifications must be active and in hand; pending items are not accepted
• Travel nurses must meet all submission and compliance requirements at the time of consideration

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for Med/Surg Telemetry patients on a busy orthopedic/surgical unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry findings
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols
• Communicate effectively with the care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Document accurately and maintain strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and unit workflow as needed
