Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring travel experience and float capability across multiple campuses.

Details

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule (3x12 Hours, 19:00-7:00)
• Typical staffing ratio of 1:5
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• On-call required with expectation to return to facility within 1 hour when called
• Floating required to other campus MS-Tele units (Bucyrus & Galion) as needed to maintain hours

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of recent, consecutive Med/Surg experience in a hospital/acute care setting
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with medication scanning required
• Epic experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy and peripheral line care/management
• Skilled in respiratory care including nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Tele setting, including cardiac monitoring and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Facility does not accept time off requests for major holidays
• Candidates with minimal to no RTO are preferred
• Smoke-free facility and campus
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before being submitted for this position
