Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on night shift, requiring 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Assignment length of 18 weeks with 13 week options also considered, providing winter coverage

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross required
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start
• Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, director, or charge RN in the specialty being applied for, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with a passing score required (maximum of 2 attempts)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required, with medical or religious exemptions only
• Travelers expected to work every other holiday
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent or per diem candidates who previously worked at this health system must wait 1 year from their last end date before returning
• Nurses are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
