Registered Nurse - Acute Care of Elderly & Alternate Level of Care Unit

Schedule

This is a 12-hour night shift position with a rotation from 7 PM to 7 AM. Candidates will have the option to work 36 or 48 hours per week, which includes one weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. Employees are required to work at least one holiday per contract term.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Acute Care of Elderly (ACE) and Alternate Level of Care Unit (ALC), you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to the elderly population. You will be instrumental in managing acute medical and surgical cases while ensuring that patients receive the optimal level of care during their stay.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring patients' conditions.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Documenting patient care activities in the EPIC system.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
• 2 years of work experience in the U.S. is required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active New York RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.
