Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg unit position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active IN or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit (4EA) with remote telemetry monitoring, 32 beds
• Telemetry monitored 24/7, applied only when ordered by physician
• Patient population includes stable vent and BiPAP patients, acute/chronic renal failure, dialysis, and fluid overload cases
• Cares for medical/surgical patients under internal medicine, family practice, and hospitalist services
• Administers IV drips including non-titrated Dopamine (5mcg constant rate for renal perfusion) and Heparin
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only) required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• BSN not required for this position

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities
• Administer and monitor specialized IV medications per unit protocols
• Collaborate with internal medicine, family practice, and hospitalist teams
• First-time travelers may be considered
