Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Med Surg/Tele or Stepdown and oncology experience along with an active IL RN license.

Details

  • Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry or Stepdown unit setting
  • Care for a patient population that includes oncology cases
  • Uses Epic EMR system
  • Facility trauma levels range from Level 1 to Level 4 depending on location

Requirements

  • Active RN license required in Illinois; Iowa RN license or compact license (or proof of application) also required
  • Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
  • Prior Med Surg, Telemetry, or Stepdown experience required
  • Some oncology experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment or contract required for consideration
  • Driver's license or proof of permanent residency required for consideration
  • Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg Telemetry or Stepdown unit, including oncology patients
  • Holiday coverage required, with travelers expected to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
  • Limited time-off requests permitted during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday periods
  • Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
  • Must have a taxable address outside of a 50-mile radius from the facility, unless applying to the Madison location which accepts local candidates at a reduced rate
