Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical/Telemetry – Tuscaloosa, AL

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holidays as required. 36 or 48 hours per week available. 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Highlights:

• Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Biweekly orientation with 16 hours of non-billable onboarding
• Charting system: Meditech
• Overtime available after 48 hours worked per week
• Opportunity to work in a regional medical center setting with potential to float to other units

Requirements:

• Active Alabama or Compact state RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree required
• AHA or ARC BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience working under highest professional license level; 18 months may be considered with at least 1 year in specialty area
• Must pass Dysrhythmia Basic exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Must pass Validation Cardiac Dysrhythmia exam on first day (pass/fail requirement)
• Willingness to float to other units and facilities as needed
• Completion of 16 onboarding modules by file due date
