Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN with 3+ years of experience for a day shift position requiring an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for patients ranging from therapy level to PCU level of care
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5, flexed to 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 7a-7p, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No call and no holiday requirements
• EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred, training available
• HARP/CPI preferred, training available

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills required
• Experience providing patient-centered care and managing multiple priorities

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including individualized care plans, assessments, treatments, and medication administration
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care
• Deliver patient education, health counseling, and discharge planning
• Recognize and respond to patient complications and changes in condition
• Supervise and delegate nursing tasks while maintaining accountability for patient care
• Report to the Department Manager with oversight from Nursing Leadership
• Must reside outside a 60 mile radius of the facility
