Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 12-hour night shift position requiring advanced tele experience and an active NH or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• May be requested to float within the facility
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• 2+ years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
• Advanced telemetry experience required
• Experience with Cardizem and Insulin drips (insulin for hyperglycemia, not DKA)
• Experience with Phenobarbital administration on telemetry
• Documented travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• First-time travelers with strong experience will be considered
• Weekly orientation provided
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
• Candidates residing outside the 50-mile radius are eligible for the travel rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
