Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night and Day shifts available, working 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30 or 07:00 - 19:30). Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs.

Job Description

The Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse will provide care to patients within the oncology/chemotherapy patient population at our facility. There is a potential requirement to float to other units as needed. Training will be provided for candidates interested in administering chemotherapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Med/Surg Tele environment.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 18 months of combined permanent experience in a Med/Surg or Tele specialty.
• Must have a current Ohio license or compact state license.
• Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Recent experience in oncology and chemotherapy administration is preferred but not mandatory.
