Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring Epic experience and recent acute care background.

Details

• Work on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 1900-0730
• Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need
• Floating required as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active WI RN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last three years
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start, including adult and pediatric rhythm interpretation with strict passing criteria
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management
• Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy, and oxygen administration
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response/code team participation
• Experience with wound care, isolation precautions, and PPE use
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Collaborate with rapid response and code teams as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers will be considered if they have three years of recent inpatient med/surg experience
