Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
• One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
• Must be willing to work at least every other holiday
• Experience caring for patients who may require telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical support
• Must be comfortable in a fast-moving hospital environment with flexible scheduling needs

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality bedside care to Med/Surg Tele patients
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and document patient care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, effective treatment plans
• Provide care for a wide range of adult medical-surgical patients, including those with complex needs
• Maintain readiness to float to similar patient population units as needed
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards at all times
• Adapt to rotating day and night shifts while helping meet unit staffing needs
