The staff cares for a variety of medical and telemetry patients with acute and/or chronic illness, such as sepsis, respiratory, gastrointestinal, endocrine, cardiac disease, and COVID-19. Staff members will manage titratable drips, chest tubes, tracheostomies, complex wound care, post-bariatric procedures, high oxygen delivery systems and end-of-life care.5 West began piloting a team-based care delivery model in January 2025 and wants to ensure that each team member is well versed and educated on how this model of care benefits not only the patient, but each staff member as well. Team based care is a group of licensed and unlicensed healthcare professionals working in unison towards a common goal to care for a group of patients. Our team-based care delivery model consists of Lead Nurses, bedside Registered Nurses, Virtual Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Nursing Assistants. Virtual nurses are incorporated into the team to perform administrative tasks that require an RN license but do not require physical presence (i.e., admission and discharge paperwork, patient education, dual nurse sign offs, etc.).Team based care allows for nurses to work at the top of their scope and effectively uses each team member s strengths, skills, and experiences as well as promotes teamwork, communication, and leadership.Ratios: Days 1:8; Nights 1:9BLS required2 years of prior Telemetry experience required (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)Drips are required on all floorsEPIC charting experience requiredFirst timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center)Will float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus).
