Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active Ohio or compact RN license and 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience.

• Care for a medical-surgical patient population requiring telemetry monitoring
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night shift schedule (3x12 hours), nights 7:00 PM-7:30 AM and days 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet the operational needs of the facility
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
• Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience required (travel experience accepted)
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele unit, including monitoring and managing telemetry patients
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with a passing score required (up to two attempts allowed)
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Candidates with any pending background check case will not be considered
• Any license-related issues will disqualify candidates from consideration
• Previous permanent or per diem employees must wait one year from their last end date before returning to this health system
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, with a required 6-month break before returning unless otherwise approved
