Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a float pool night shift position requiring an active MA RN license and at least 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience.

Details

• Float pool position covering all Med/Surg Telemetry floors as needed
• Floating required to like units and overflow areas
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• Shift hours 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM
• Weekends and holidays expected
• Biweekly orientation

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Current AHA ACLS certification required
• Must pass a Telemetry Competency Exam
• Must pass ECG/Tele and Medications tests during onboarding with only one attempt allowed and a required score of 85%
• Documented professional developmental activities required
• Knowledge of critical paths required
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Testing is administered via Zoom Protector meeting prior to assignment and must be completed within 48 hours of offer
• No remediation or re-testing opportunity is available, so candidates should prepare using the provided study guide
• Required vaccines include COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine, with medical exemptions allowed
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius and local candidates are not accepted
• Previous Beth Israel Lahey Health employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning to any facility within the health system
• All RTO requests must be presented at the time of consideration
