Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a float pool position requiring 2+ years of Med Surg Tele experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Float pool position requiring coverage of all Med/Surg Tele floors as needed
• Also expected to float to like units and overflow areas
• 12-hour rotating shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• Shift hours run from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend and holiday coverage expected
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active MA RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience required
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Current ACLS certification through AHA required
• Must pass Telemetry Competency Exam
• Must pass ECG/Telemetry and Medications tests during onboarding, administered via Zoom prior to assignment start, with only one attempt allowed and an 85% passing score
• Documented professional developmental activities and knowledge of critical paths required
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg Telemetry unit and float to similar units as needed
• Biweekly orientation schedule
• Hiring manager will conduct interview and extend offer
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as locals are not accepted for this position
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must complete a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
• Required vaccinations include COVID-19 (with booster) and flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
