Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a float pool position requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg Tele experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Float Pool position covering Medical-Surgical Telemetry units
• Will float to all Med/Surg Tele floors, like units, and overflow areas as needed
• 12-hour night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Weekend and holiday shifts expected
• Biweekly orientation schedule

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Must pass a Telemetry Competency Exam
• Must pass ECG/Telemetry and Medications tests during onboarding with only one attempt allowed, administered via Zoom prior to assignment start
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Documented professional development activities and knowledge of critical paths preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across Med/Surg Telemetry units as part of a float pool team
• Must prepare for pass/fail dysrhythmia and medication competency exams within 48 hours of offer, with an 85% passing score and no remediation opportunity
• Required vaccinations include COVID-19 (with booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates are not accepted for this role
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break from any BILH facility before returning
• RTO requests and interview availability must be provided at time of consideration
