This is a float pool position for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med/Surg Telemetry at a leading acute-care hospital. Candidates must be willing to float to multiple different units and have acute care hospital experience. The facility floats staff to all Medical, Surgical, and Cardiology units.

Position Information:

• Role: RN
• Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry - IMC
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 48
• Weekend Hours: 36 (varies based on unit need)
• Call Requirements: No
• Years of Experience: 2 years inpatient hospital experience preferred; Level 1 Trauma experience required; 1 year travel experience required.
• Float Requirements: Float Pool position, will float every shift

Education & Certifications Required:

• Valid RN License (State of Maine)
• ACLS Preferred
• BLS Required

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: Varies based on unit floated to (smallest unit has 15 beds, largest has 40+ beds)
• Patient Ratios: Typically, 1:4 on days (1:5 when stretched) and 1:5 on nights (1:6 when stretched)
• Equipment: Abbott Plum Pumps
• EMR: EPIC

Hiring Profile:

• Must Have Skills/Experience: 2 years Level 1 Trauma acute hospital experience; must be able to read & interpret telemetry strips
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Minimum 1 year travel assignments; prefer 2 years experience
• Type of Patients on Unit: Varies based on unit floated to
• Personality Fit: Flexibility is a must

Dress Code:

• Scrub Color: Any color, as long as it is clean and professional in appearance
• Unacceptable Attire: Jeans, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, shoes with holes in them (such as Crocs)

Misc./Other Information:

• Minimum 1 year travel or prior Float Pool experience will set the traveler up for success.
• Must have Level 1 Trauma experience in a 500 bed facility or larger.
