Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Respiratory position requiring a minimum of three years of nursing experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Medical Respiratory (7C Med Resp) unit of a hospital environment
  • 12-hour day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • 36 hours per week across 3 days per week
  • Rotating weekend and holiday shifts required
  • May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
  • ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Epic EMR charting experience required

Additional Information

  • Serve as the primary caregiver for an assigned group of patients, applying the nursing process to deliver individualized care
  • Complete initial patient assessments and develop care plans based on patient and family needs
  • Implement and modify care plans based on ongoing evaluation of patient status
  • Report and correct safety hazards to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
  • Participate in professional development by offering constructive feedback to peers and expanding personal knowledge base
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
  • Contingent workers may not continuously work at Carle Health locations for more than 1 year without either converting to a permanent role or taking a 6-month break in service
