Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Respiratory unit position requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.

Details

  • Work in the Med Resp unit of a hospital setting
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00PM-7:00AM
  • 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
  • Weekend shifts required on a rotating basis
  • Holiday shifts required on a rotating basis
  • May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
  • Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

  • Serve as the primary caregiver responsible for a designated group of patients throughout the shift
  • Perform initial patient assessments upon admission and develop individualized care plans based on patient and family needs
  • Implement and continuously modify care plans based on ongoing patient evaluation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation to support care coordination across the healthcare team
  • Identify and report safety hazards to help ensure patient and employee safety
  • Collaborate with peers by offering constructive feedback and engaging in professional development
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not eligible
  • RTO may not exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract
