Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Respiratory unit position requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical Respiratory unit (7C Med Resp) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts
• Weekend shifts required on a rotating basis
• Holiday shifts required on a rotating basis
• May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

• Serve as the primary caregiver for an assigned group of patients, applying the nursing process across a designated shift
• Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
• Implement and modify care plans based on ongoing evaluation of patient status
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support care coordination
• Report and/or correct safety hazards and incidents to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
• Provide constructive feedback to peers and engage in professional development activities
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not be on assignment at Carle Health for more than one year without a required 6-month break in service
