Certifications/Licenses:
- BLS, CMA
- Urology Medical Assistant (MA-C or MA-R)
- Schedule: 4x9hr + 1x4hr (Mon - Fri /// OFF weekends)
- 4 days/week will be 7:45a - 5p
- 1 day/week will be 8:00a - 12:00p **This half day will alternate depending on the MD’s OR day.
- Experience: 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic setting is REQUIRED, experience in a procedural heavy clinic – like Urology, Otolaryngology or Dermatology - is ideal.
- Special Equipment: Trophon, Ultrasound Bx machine, Bladder Scanner
- REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Vital Signs:
- Obtain Vital Signs
- Prepare for Exam:
- Record History/Medications/Allergies
- Set Up and Assist with Procedures:
- Cystoscopy
- Prostate Biopsy
- Bladder Scans (PVRS)
- Set up and maintain sterile field
- Specimen Collection:
- Labeling of specimens
- Professional Knowledge and Skills:
- Rooming Patients
- Type of Facility: Outpatient Clinic (various specialties)
- Charting: EPIC (experience preferred)
