Job Title: Oncology Infusion Medical Assistant Profession: Medical Assistant Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Adult Outpatient Oncology License: Current medical assistant license Certifications: BLS (AHA only, no HeartCode) Must-Have: - Experience with 12 Lead ECG - Proficiency in vital signs, recording history, medications, and allergies - Experience in administering medications and performing various clinical tasks Description: Oncology Infusion Medical Assistant for a fast-paced clinic. Duties include non-oncologic infusions in addition to chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Responsible for managing solid mass and hematologic cancer diagnoses. Working schedule is Monday to Friday with 8-hour shifts. Utilization of EPIC documentation and SBAR communication methods. Collaboration with pharmacy, social services, and in-house nurse practitioners. Required skills include obtaining vital signs, urine analysis, and venipuncture. Experience in telephone triage, patient refills, and follow-up calls is essential. Ability to room patients and review lab tests is required. Preferred skills include immunizations and support in obstetrics and gynecology.
