Description:
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team.
This role is an integral part of our ability to provide excellent patient care.
Responsibilities include greeting and checking in patients.
You will notify the appropriate provider and prepare the patient, room, and equipment for procedures and exams.
You will take and record vital signs.
You will inform the provider of patient vital signs and concerns.
MAs in our clinic will be cross-trained to assist in various areas.
Typical tasks may include EKGs, urine dips, pregnancy testing, hearing, and vision screens.
You will also administer vaccines and assist clinicians during procedures.
Successful candidates demonstrate the ability to work as a team and have strong work ethics.
Candidates must show flexibility and professionalism.
The work environment is fast-paced with a combination of well and acute care visits.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Prior experience in an office or outpatient ambulatory care setting is strongly preferred.
Computer skills are strongly preferred.
You must be willing to participate in evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed.
Dress code includes medical scrubs and close-toed shoes with no artificial nails.
Credentials required: Medical Assistant certification through either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologist (AMT).
