Job Title: Medical Assistant – Urgent Care (Temp to Perm)
Location: La Verne, CA
Facility: Pomona Valley Health Center – Urgent Care
Duration: 13 Weeks (Temp to Perm Opportunity)
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours (08:00 AM – 05:00 PM)
Pay Rate:$23 – $24/hour

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for an Urgent Care setting in La Verne, CA. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, and candidates must be open to transitioning into a permanent role. The position requires working in both front and back office functions in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Perform blood draws and assist with basic clinical procedures
• Conduct pre-employment physicals and drug screenings
• Register patients and verify insurance information
• Collect payments and co-pays
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Support both clinical and administrative workflows

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Urgent Care, ER, or Medical Office setting
• Medical Assistant Certification (required)
• BLS Certification (required)
• Experience with:
  • EMR systems (Cerner preferred)
  • Blood draw and vitals
  • Insurance verification and patient registration
  • Payment collection and front office tasks
