Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 5×8
Experience Required: 2 Years
Pay Rate:$32 to $35 per hour
Roles and Responsibilities
Welcome, room, and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medication lists, and chief complaints
Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations and minor procedures
Perform clinical tasks such as injections, immunizations, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing within scope of practice
Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies for daily clinical operations
Accurately document patient information and clinical activities in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Provide clear communication and patient education in both English and the required second language
Assist patients with appointment scheduling, referrals, follow-up instructions, and other administrative needs
Help patients understand medications, treatment plans, preventive care instructions, and provider recommendations
Coordinate with providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient patient flow
Maintain adequate clinical supplies and assist with inventory management
Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, OSHA, and patient safety standards
Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times
Support a welcoming, culturally responsive, and patient-centered clinical environment
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Current Medical Assistant certification such as CMA, RMA, or CCMA required by facility
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Assistant experience
Bilingual proficiency required in English and and Spanish
Current BLS Certification required
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care workflows
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy healthcare setting
Commitment to compassionate, respectful, and high-quality patient care
