Medical Assistant (CMA) — Temp-to-Hire | Berwyn, PAProgram

Shift Details

• Core hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Work hours will range between 6:45 AM and 6:00 PM, with Tuesday having extended hours until 8:00 PM
• The Medical Assistant must work until the Physician has completed all patients and may need to stay beyond the scheduled end time to finish out the day if/when needed
• Schedules are adjusted as needed in cases of shifts worked over 8 hours
• The practice manager releases shift schedules one week in advance

Contract Type

• Temp-to-Hire — candidates must be interested in converting to a permanent staff position
• Pay rate as a full-time CMA is approximately $21–$22/hour
• Pay rate must not exceed $22/hour

Position Overview

• The Medical Assistant (MA) assists the practice manager and physicians in maintaining a patient/customer focus
• Supports the delivery of high-quality care
• Shares a passion for patient and customer centered care
• Assists in meeting or exceeding patient satisfaction and financial/operational targets
• Provides patient care through performance of patient preparation, interviewing, technical tasks, and patient/family communication

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of CMA experience required
• Candidates who need minimal training and are able to contribute to the practice immediately are preferred
• Previous Epic experience preferred

Interview Process

• Two rounds of interviews
• Round 1: Microsoft Teams (virtual)
• Round 2: In-person

Training

• 4-hour EMR training held on Fridays, conducted virtually

Compliance Requirements

• Compliance is due on the Wednesday before the start date
• Candidates must be ready to begin the compliance process immediately upon accepting the award
• Medicals and drug screens must be started within 72 hours of accepting the award
• Candidates who do not start this requirement within 72 hours are at risk of having the contract cancelled
