Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit Medical (ICU Medical) registered nurse position is located in Plano, Texas. This role involves working on a specialized ICU unit providing critical care to patients with complex medical needs. The position offers a fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt to varying patient conditions.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/31/2026
- Required Qualifications: An active registered nurse (RN) license, 2 or more years of hospital experience, 2 or more years of specialty experience in ICU, BLS, and ACLS certifications
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MEDITECH electronic documentation system, TNCC, CCRN, TCRN certifications
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information:
- Unit specifics include a combined CCU and Burn Trauma ICU with a total of 66 beds and patient ratios of 2:1.
- Staffing includes a supervisor on every shift and patient care technicians.
- Procedures performed on the unit include central line insertions, arterial line insertions, thoracotomies, bedside tracheostomies, and chest tube insertions.
- Dress code requirements include royal blue scrubs for RN, maintain a clean and neat appearance, covering tattoos when possible, and prohibiting visible piercings other than earrings.
