Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a fast-paced Medical ICU requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and Level 1 trauma center background.

Details

• Work in a 30-bed Medical ICU within a Level 1 trauma center
• Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, alcohol/substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Experience with ventilators and central lines (drips) required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital settings required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
