Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position at a Level 1 facility, requiring a KS or compact RN license and night shift availability.

Details

  • Work in the Medical ICU (MICU) of a Level 1 hospital environment
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Uses Cerner OneChart EMR
  • Holiday coverage required for any holidays occurring during contracted dates

Requirements

  • Active KS or compact RN license required
  • Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA required)
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification may be required
  • CPI/MOAB de-escalation training may be required, with online portion completed prior to start and on-site portion completed during orientation
  • Current license and primary source verification (Nursys) required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to medically complex ICU patients
  • Ceil blue scrubs required
  • CPI/MOAB high-risk on-site training portion to be completed during orientation
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this position
  • Local candidates are accepted, though a radius rule may apply that affects pay rate eligibility
