Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Medical (ICU MEDICAL) nurse position located in Hawaii. This role involves providing specialized care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit within a Level I Trauma Center, supporting patients with complex health needs. The position requires a diverse skill set and certification, with a focus on ensuring patient safety and quality care.

Job Details

• Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Active, unencumbered Hawaii RN license required. Current BLS (Health Care Provider), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory. Specialty certification(s), such as CCRN, are highly desired. Must pass EKG exam with 80% or better during orientation. All licenses and certifications must be valid throughout the contract duration.
• Experience: Two or more years of full-time staff Registered Nurse experience in a Medical ICU at a Level I Trauma Center prior to any travel assignment.
• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Previous travel experience at the organization is highly preferred. Travelers may float to ICU, Stepdown, and Telemetry units based on facility needs. Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the start date to avoid delays or cancellation. A current NURSYS report is required for all submissions. If RN is not needed on their designated unit, they may be assigned as a nursing assistant or safety sitter, with the expectation to fulfill those roles. Position urgency is normal.
