Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Medical nurse specialized in acute care settings in Marshfield, WI. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a 16-bed ICU unit with a focus on respiratory, stroke, neuro, gastrointestinal, and cardiac conditions within a dynamic hospital environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with shifts from 0700-1930 and 1900-0730. The schedule allows for self-scheduling with some limitations and requires working every other weekend and holiday.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit; ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), and NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years ICU experience with Cerner electronic medical records experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with titrating ICU drips like propofol, precedex, vasopressors, and proficiency in rhythm interpretation.
  • Additional Information: The unit has in-house pulmonologists with resident teams, 24/7 respiratory therapy coverage equipped with vents, BiPAP, CPAP, vapotherm, trachs, and nitric oxide. RNs are required to read their patients' electrocardiogram strips and interpret rhythms proficiently. Floating to similar units or patient observation within the hospital may be required, with no specific scrub color mandated. Orientation includes a day of hospital and two days of unit-specific training. Clinicians previously employed in the organization must have their end date at least six months prior to submission.
