Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - $1,584 per week in Atlanta, GA

Job Title: Medical Technologist Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Blood Bank Duration: 7 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:30 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: ASCP, ASCP MT, ASCP-BB, AMT, ABB acceptable Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant clinical setting; travelers are not accepted if they are first-time travelers. Description: The clinician will be primarily working in blood bank. Every third weekend, the clinician is expected to work. There is no call required. Floating may occur within the facility and scope of practice as needed. Candidates will undergo a clinical screen to ensure a fit for the position. If approved, they will be sent to the manager for the final decision. Requests for time off are limited to a maximum of 7 days. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment, the clinician is expected to work it. For two major holidays, the clinician is expected to work both. For three major holidays, the clinician is expected to work two of them. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Full compliance is required before starting. Non-compliance may result in a delay of up to 2 weeks. Local candidates will be accepted at the same rate. Previous charge experience is preferred. All candidates must have experience with patient ratios and charting systems. Specific skills required include blood banking procedures, specimen collection, and quality assurance controls. Knowledge of various lab tests and procedures is essential. The role may involve collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
