Job Title: Medical Technologist Profession: Med Tech Specialty: Laboratory Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Nights Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: MLT, MT, or MLS certification through ASCP or AMT required Certifications: - Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) via AMT - Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) via ASCP - Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) via AMT - Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) via ASCP Must-Have: - Experience working independently on the graveyard shift - Proficiency in all areas of the laboratory, including blood bank Description: This is a generalist medical technologist position. Clinicians are required to cover all areas of the laboratory. No phlebotomy skills are necessary for this role. The position does not require BLS certification as it is not patient-facing. Experience with Laboratory Information Systems is necessary. Familiarity with specific equipment such as Wellsky for blood banking and Unity Real Time for QC is preferred. The schedule is fixed over a six-week period and does not allow for self-scheduling. Weekends and holiday work are required. Call or standby call may be necessary. There is no specific dress code; scrubs or business casual attire with closed-toed shoes is acceptable. The facility reserves the right to cancel up to four shifts during the assignment period. All candidates must be able to work the specified shift, including weekends and potential call requirements.
