Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - $1,760 per week in Hastings, NE

Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Lab MLT/MT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Evenings Hours per Shift: 5-8 hours per week (typically 1400-2200, may vary slightly) - every other weekend Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ASCP, BLS (AHA), Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) via ASCP Must-Have: Strong phlebotomy skills are essential as this can constitute up to 50% of the work on shift. Generalist experience is required, and no blood bank experience is necessary. Familiarity with a variety of areas including hematology, serology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology (limited scope), and point-of-care testing is essential. Experience in phlebotomy is necessary, including neonatal capillary and venous collections, blood cultures, venipunctures, and arterial blood gases. Ability to work as part of a team and maintain efficiency in a high-volume work atmosphere is required. Description: The role demands a laboratory technician with a strong foundation in phlebotomy and experience in hematology, microbiology, and chemistry. Candidates must be comfortable performing all phlebotomy tasks during evening shifts. The technician will work with various equipment including hematology analyzers and chemistry systems. Experience with electronic medical records is preferred. The technician will be expected to multitask effectively and contribute positively within a team setting. Availability for every other weekend and holiday shifts is required. Dress code is solid colors only, with a preferred combination of red and black. Training will occur during the first week of the contract on day shifts before transitioning to the contracted schedule.
