Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician for a travel assignment in Hyannis, MA. This role involves providing quality patient care through specimen collection and performing non-invasive cardiac testing in a dynamic healthcare setting. Emergency Room experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Technician- Draw blood and obtain specimens; ensure proper patient identification
- Perform non-invasive cardiology testing (EKGs, Holter Monitors, Stress Tests)
- Ensure all required Lab forms are obtained at the time of service
- Research unusual test requests using available resources
- Document necessary information for test interpretation and regulatory requirements
- Complete cardiac test ordering and billing information as required
- Communicate changes in patient orders and test requirements
- Train, orient, and mentor other staff and clinical students
- Recommend improvements in quality and efficiency
- Handle and resolve specimen collection problems; initiate service recovery
- Maintain harmonious relations with patients, staff, and co-workers
- Practice efficient use of laboratory supplies; manage inventory
- Participate in department staff meetings and mandatory programs
- Maintain testing areas in a clean, sanitary condition
- Provide service excellence to all patients and visitors
Requirements of the Medical Laboratory Technician- Phlebotomy Certification (PBT)
- EKG Certification
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
