Key Responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Technician- Draw blood and obtain other specimens, ensuring positive patient identification
- Perform non-invasive cardiology testing (EKGs, Holter, Stress Tests)
- Ensure proper documentation and lab form acquisition
- Assist with training and mentoring staff and students
- Maintain testing areas in a clean, sanitary condition
Requirements of the Medical Laboratory Technician- Phlebotomy (PBT) Certification
- EKG Certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Experience in an emergency department required
- Travel experience required
