Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - $1,913 per week in Windsor, VT

Job Title: Medical Technologist Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Med Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years current experience as a Medical Technologist License: National Certification required (NCCT not accepted) Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS Must-Have: Ability to work independently and hit the ground running. High proficiency in testing in all areas of the lab as a generalist. Strong proficiency in phlebotomy, chemistry, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, and reading Gram stains/plate culture specimens in microbiology. Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience is required. Description: Work independently within two weeks of the start date. Collaborate effectively in a team setting. Obtain blood specimens while maintaining knowledge of specific specimen requirements. Follow the correct order of draw based on tube type and special handling of tests. Utilize proper resources for obtaining specimen requirement information. Collect and enter off-site blood work into the system. Complete and process a variety of forms. Obtain pre-authorization and patient signatures as needed. Prepare specimens for in-lab testing or off-site shipment. Ensure that blood-drawing stations are clean and well-stocked. Work with a patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric. Adhere to the dress code of personal scrubs of any color. Be aware that requests for time off during the assignment must be noted prior to submission. Travel candidates must have their own vehicle due to the location being a small community without public transport.
