Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - $1,941 per week in Bethel, AK

Job Title: Medical Technologist Profession: Medical Laboratory Specialty: Medical Laboratory Technician Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Variable - 8-hour shifts, days, evenings, or nights Hours per Shift: 32 guaranteed hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of related or progressively more responsible experience in microbiology License: Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a related field required Certifications: Must be board eligible and complete board certification within one year of employment. Certification at MT by an accredited agency within one year of employment is required. Must-Have: - Ability to work independently - Provide direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants - Clinical laboratory instrumentation knowledge - Laboratory generalist skills Description: Under the direction of the laboratory manager, this position is responsible for performing laboratory tests and quality control procedures. Effective communication with physicians, nurses, and patients is required. Candidates must meet immunization requirements, including but not limited to Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, T-Dap, and Polio. Candidates must also provide a copy of Photo ID, SSN card, Professional license and/or Certification, and transcripts as needed. Background check results, drug screen within the last 90 days, and various reports related to credentials must also be provided. Proof of completed COVID vaccinations is required. This position does not provide private housing and all housing is shared units. No pets are allowed.
