Description:
This is a temporary to permanent position for an MT/MLT only.
Candidates should have recent phlebotomy experience.
Shift schedule requires flexibility between 1200-2100 or 1100-2000, Monday through Friday.
Experience with the following equipment is required: Vitek, Vitros 5600, Satellite, and manual ortho gel for blood bank.
Familiarity with CERNER (EHR) is a plus.
Phlebotomy is a part of the responsibilities, and BLS certification is needed.
Candidates should be well-rounded generalists with experience in microbiology, blood bank, chemistry, hematology, and microscopy.
No on-call responsibilities are required.
Microbiology experience is beneficial, but candidates must be able to plate specimens and perform gram stains.
Experience in a small rural health lab setting is preferred.
Candidates should be bench tech savvy and experienced in phlebotomy.
Detailed experience with the following is necessary: Cerner (Oracle), Stago, Satellite - Coagulation, Sysmex - Hematology, Microbiology - Vitek, Vitros 5600 - Chemistry, Quidel, and Ortho gel manual for blood bank.
