Job Title: Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician Profession: Medical Laboratory Specialty: Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician Certifications: ASCP, AMT or equivalent Must-Have: Experience with Epic Experience with Antibody IDs Experience with Emergency blood banking Experience with Ortho Vitros 5600 Description: The laboratory teams have responsibilities for testing samples that may include blood, body fluids, and tissue. These tests aid in the diagnosis of diseases, illnesses, or conditions that may require medical attention. Lab tests are processed for inpatients and emergency room patients twenty-four hours a day. Testing is also performed on outpatient and clinic specimens. All laboratories are licensed by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments Act (CLIA). They are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Candidates will be considered only if they possess the required experience and certifications. Holiday coverage is required.
