Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - $1,966 per week in Ionia, MI

Job Title: Medical Lab Technician Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Medical Lab Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 3x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 14:00 - 22:30 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Pending state license not accepted Certifications: National certifications preferred Must-Have: Ability to perform phlebotomy draws Description: The position requires a generalist who can work in chemistry, blood bank, coags, urinalysis, and hematology. Blood bank experience is necessary, which includes ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & ID, AHG Crossmatch, Crossmatch, Immediate Spin/IgG, Direct Coombs (DAT), Electronic Crossmatch, and Indirect Coombs Test. Microbiology experience should include Wet Prep (WBC, Yeast, Trichomonas). Chemistry experience is needed for Acetone Analysis, Arterial Blood Gas, Cardiac Enzymes, Immunoassay, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, and Thyroid Testing. Hematology/Coag experience should include automated instrument use, manual differential, and platelet count. Urinalysis experience must include manual macroscopic UA and microscopic UA, as well as UA analysis using analyzers. This role does not require BLS certification. No on-call requirements are expected for this position. Candidates must have flexible availability to work weekends every other week. Successful candidates will demonstrate competence in specimen collection, reporting test results, and using specified laboratory equipment. Candidates should be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. A minimum educational requirement includes proof of high school level education.
